I Wish it Weren't Raining!

   Goodbye Nelson, Hello Motueka! I left my backpackers in Nelson around 830 Saturday morning, after my free brekkie of course. I didn’t have too much scheduled for today, so I just drove. I drove up to Collingwood, past Motueka where I’m currently staying. The mountain pass to get there was so beautiful, but seriously lacking guard rails. What is it with these people?!
   On my drive, I saw plenty of vineyards, some with sheep and pigs in them. Some others I saw people working, and I sympathized because I was in their shoes a few months ago, and I know how miserable it can be working when it’s cold and rainy out! Yes, unfortunately, it was rainy today. I couldn’t do too much because of it. I had planned to go see Abel Tasman National Park, but not in the pouring rain! It’s supposed to be rainy Sunday too, but clear up Monday and Tuesday. I hope it does, ‘cause I’m only here till Tuesday and I wanna do some hiking!

Silly weather!

   My drive to Collingwood and back was pretty, but I wish the weather were better so I could have seen more. The drive there wasn’t as bad as the way back. It rained the whole way back, and I was driving through clouds for most of it! I made it back to Motueka early afternoon, and went to my backpackers to get settled in. I made some plans for the upcoming days, dodging the rain of course. The owner of my backpackers told me that I might just have to be a real kiwi and go to the pub all day Sunday, because there’s not much to do here that’s not outdoorsy. What am I going to do Sunday?!

This was fun...

   I was stressing a little about my inadvertent change in plans, but a wise friend told me to stop worrying. I am on vacation after all. Too true! I need to just go with the flow, because this is supposed to be fun and relaxing. I’m done with school and traveling for fun, there’s no need to stress out!
