Leaving Wellington :'(

   I know I'll be back, but it's still sad to be leaving! I love this place! This week I've been preparing for my big adventure on the South Island. I'm finally packed and ready to go Thursday morning at 730 AM! There are so many things I'm going to miss about Wellington, but I can't wait to see more of New Zealand! I've seen most of the North Island, but the South Island is apparently more scenic and picturesque.
   I went out Monday for a stroll around the city - one of my last! I walked along the waterfront, one of my favorite places in Wellington. It was so warm and sunny. Warm for wintertime at least.. I still had heavy jacket on!

   On my walk, I also stopped at some little hole-in-the-wall shops I've been meaning to try. There are so many around Wellington, and they are all so cool and unique. Crepe stands, cafes, donut shops, smoothie stands... I want to go to all of them!

   I have been meaning to go to the crepe stand all semester, but I'm glad I didn't until now.. It was so good, I would have gone there all the time! The little cafe has also caught my eye for some time, but I've been trying this crazy new thing here where I don't drink coffee all day long. They made one of the best mochas I've had in Wellington. I swear all the little shops are so much better than the big ones!
   Well, I'm off to the South Island in the morning. I'll travel alone for a week, then meet up with a friend in a camper van for a week, then travel with Mum for a week before heading back to Wellington, and eventually leaving the country. I'll try to keep up with posting, but I'm not sure if they have internet down there...
